Graduating House Staff & Felllows – ENROLLMENT OPEN IMMEDIATELY, MUST HAVE BEEN WORKING 30 HRS/WEEK + FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS, CAN’T HAVE BEEN DECLINED EVER BY THE STANDARD, OR BY ANOTHER CARRIER WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS.

  • This program allows ELIGIBLE Residents & Fellows the opportunity to secure $5000/month of individually owned disability insurance from The Standard Insurance Company.
  • In addition to the first $5000/month there is future pool of $7500/month available to exercise immediately after completion of the current program all without medical review or any examinations etc.
  • Rates for females are 30-50% less expensive with this program compared to traditional Disability Insurance with sex distinct rates
  • Own occupation language to protect your income if you can’t perform duties of your own occupation but can earn income doing something else. Also, Residual benefits are included to pay partial benefits if working in your occupation but not earning regular full amount due to disability.
  • 3% maximum cost of living increase rider to build benefits annually while on claim to keep pace with inflation.
  • Non-cancelable language to fix and guarantee premiums
  • Benefits payable to age 67 versus traditional 65.
  • Applicants between January-April will have April 1 effective dates; Applicants between April 1-June 30 will have July 1 effective dates.
